RN and PL Grieve founded the Talooby Angus Herd in 1953 in the Bylong Valley of Central Western NSW. Each year at the the Talooby Angus Annual Sale, Talooby Angus have Black Angus Cattle and Red Angus Cattle for sale. Today the herd stands at around 350 females, 200 APR, 120 Stud and 30 Reds and is managed by Peter Grieve on behalf of the partners. Talooby was established from foundation stock purchased from the Wallah Stud in Narrabri. 12 cows and 1 bull (Wallah Minijago son of NZ import B(ackjago of Mangatoro) were purchased to from the basis for the Talooby Herd.
